NoroMeal sells subscription access to meal-planning software only. We do not sell supplements, medical services, or physical goods. Meal plans and nutrition information are for informational purposes only and are not medical advice.
1. Introduction
This Refund Policy ("Policy") explains how refunds, cancellations, and billing disputes work for paid subscriptions to NoroMeal ("NoroMeal," "we," "us," or "our") at https://www.noromeal.com.
This Policy supplements our Terms of Service and should be read together with them. If there is a conflict between this Policy and mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction, the mandatory law will prevail.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to:
- Recurring subscription plans (e.g., monthly and yearly)
- Payments processed through our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy
- Refund and cancellation requests made by registered account holders
This Policy does not apply to:
- Free features or limited previews of the Service
- Purchases made outside our official website or checkout flow
- Third-party products or services not sold by NoroMeal
3. Payment Processor and Merchant of Record
Subscription payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which may act as merchant of record for certain transactions. Your payment receipt, invoice, and certain billing communications may be issued by Lemon Squeezy or its affiliates.
We do not store your full payment card details. Billing records and payment status are managed through our payment infrastructure and may appear on your statement under Lemon Squeezy or a related descriptor.
4. Subscription Billing and Renewal
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you selected) unless you cancel before the renewal date.
By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your selected payment method for the applicable subscription fee and taxes, until you cancel in accordance with this Policy and our Terms of Service.
Current pricing is displayed on our pricing page and at checkout. We may change prices for future billing periods as described in our Terms of Service.
5. Cancellation
5.1 How to cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time by:
- Using the billing management or customer portal tools available in your Account under Billing, or
- Submitting a cancellation request through our contact page, including the email address associated with your Account
5.2 Effect of cancellation
When you cancel, future recurring charges stop. Cancellation alone does not automatically refund amounts already charged, except where the seven-day money-back guarantee (Section 6.1) or applicable law applies.
You will typically retain access to paid features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. After that date, your Account may revert to free or limited access, and premium meal plan features may no longer be available.
6. Refund Eligibility
6.1 Seven-day money-back guarantee (first purchase)
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first paid subscription to NoroMeal. If you are not satisfied for any reason, contact us through our contact page within seven (7) calendar days of your initial charge and request a refund — no questions asked.
When approved under this guarantee, we will:
- Issue a full refund of the initial subscription payment
- Cancel your subscription to prevent future charges
- Revoke premium access after the refund is processed
This guarantee applies only if:
- It is your first paid subscription to NoroMeal
- The request is made within 7 days of the initial charge date
- The request is submitted from the email address linked to your Account
The seven-day guarantee is limited to one refund per customer and does not apply to subscription renewals, plan upgrades, additional purchases, or accounts terminated for violation of our Terms of Service.
6.2 After the seven-day period
Except for the guarantee above or where required by applicable law, subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. This includes partial refunds for unused time within a billing period. You may still cancel anytime to stop future renewals (see Section 5).
6.3 Billing errors and service failures
We may issue a full or partial refund outside the seven-day guarantee when:
- A duplicate charge or clear billing error attributable to us or our payment processor
- A technical failure prevented you from accessing paid features for a substantial portion of the billing period, and we cannot reasonably restore access
- Unauthorized charges are reported promptly and verified after investigation
- A refund is required by applicable consumer protection law
6.4 What is generally not refundable
- Subscription renewals after the first billing period
- Requests made more than 7 days after the initial charge (unless Section 6.3 applies)
- Failure to cancel before a renewal date
- Dissatisfaction with meal plan recommendations after the guarantee period
- Failure to use the Service during an active billing period
- Account suspension or termination for violation of our Terms of Service
- Second or subsequent refund requests from the same customer
7. Statutory Rights (Consumers)
7.1 European Union / European Economic Area / United Kingdom
If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, or UK, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within fourteen (14) days of purchase without giving a reason.
Digital content exception. By subscribing and immediately accessing digital content (such as personalized meal plans and premium features), you acknowledge that performance of the Service begins before the withdrawal period ends. Where permitted by law, you may lose your right of withdrawal once full digital delivery begins, or you may be required to pay for the proportion of the Service provided before withdrawal. The exact effect depends on the law of your country and the disclosures presented at checkout.
Nothing in this Policy limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived by contract.
7.2 Other jurisdictions
If local law grants you additional cancellation or refund rights, those rights apply to the extent required, regardless of this Policy.
8. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund or report a billing issue, visit our contact page and include:
- The email address associated with your NoroMeal Account
- Your subscription plan (monthly or yearly)
- Date of the charge and amount (if known)
- Order or receipt reference from Lemon Squeezy (if available)
- A clear description of the issue
We aim to acknowledge refund requests within a reasonable time and to resolve them within thirty (30) days, or sooner where required by law. Complex cases or payment processor investigations may take longer.
9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us through our contact page before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. We will work in good faith to investigate and resolve billing disputes.
Initiating a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the issue may result in suspension of your Account while the dispute is investigated. If a chargeback is found to be invalid or abusive, we may terminate your Account and deny future access to the Service, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Free Trials and Promotions
If we offer a free trial or promotional pricing, specific terms will be disclosed at signup or checkout. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, you may be charged automatically when the trial converts to a paid subscription.
Promotional pricing applies only to the stated period unless otherwise disclosed. After a promotion ends, standard pricing applies for renewals.
11. Taxes and Currency
Subscription prices may exclude or include taxes depending on your location and checkout presentation. Taxes are calculated and collected as required by law through our payment processor.
Charges may be processed in the currency displayed at checkout. Your bank or card issuer may apply conversion fees or exchange rates outside our control. We are not responsible for those fees.
12. Account Deletion and Refunds
Deleting your Account or stopping use of the Service does not automatically entitle you to a refund for any active or past billing period. You must cancel your subscription to stop future charges and, where applicable, submit a refund request in accordance with this Policy.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice before changes take effect.
Changes apply to future purchases and, where permitted by law, to ongoing subscriptions after reasonable notice.
